Project Description

The Robin Street Fish Pond is located on approximately 12 acres of land along the Whitefish River. Lunker and Rainbow Trout populate the once family-owned pond. Road and trail access has been established in the area to encourage outdoor fishing recreation at the pond site.

Purpose

Provide new fish pond and access to Whitefish River for recreation.

The Robin Street property preserves about 12 acres along the Whitefish River. Funds provided by the Montana Fish & Wildlife Conservation Trust helped acquire the fee title purchase of the land. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the land owner contributed to landscaping the area, paving, fencing and the construction of a bridge. The fish pond takes up about 5-7 acres on the site. The fishery habitat and surrounding area will be enhanced and maintained under the guidance of Fish, Wildlife & Parks.

North of Kalispell, Montana, travel on US-2 going east for about 5 miles. Travel north on US-93 going north and turn left on Rose Crossing. The pond is located approximately 200 feet from the Whitefish River off of Scenic Drive.
