Project Description

The Confluence project is a 201 acre property purchase located near the confluence of Rock Creek and the Clark Fork River. The property’s natural qualities have been threatened recently by increasing development pressure.

Purpose

To permanently protect the confluence of Rock Creek and the Clark Fork River.

Funding from the Montana Fish & Wildlife Conservation Trust will be leveraged with other matching/cooperator contributions to complete Phase 1 (property acquisition) of a 3 phase project for the area. Other phases include: restoring native habitat along Rock Creek and the Clark Fork River and providing public recreational and educational opportunities in the confluence area.

Directions

The Confluence project area is located in the Upper Clark Fork River watershed 20 miles east of Missoula, Montana at the confluence of Rock Creek and the Clark Fork River.
