Montana Fish & Wildlife Conservation Trust


A total of 89 projects (or project phases) have received funding from the Montana Fish & Wildlife Conservation Trust. Total funds expended are $8,555,600; including $4,385,950 inside the boundary and $4,169,650 in the rest of the state.

Fifty Percent Rule

According to the legislation, at least 50 percent of the income from the Trust in any year shall be used inside the watershed of the Missouri River. This watershed is defined as “from Holter Dam upstream to the confluence of the Jefferson, Gallatin and Madison Rivers.”
